Lloyd is a proven aviation business executive with 45 years of experience in the global aviation and airline industry — an entrepreneur and business leader with a deep international network of industry executives and boards across North America, Asia and Europe. His career began as a pilot in the Canadian Arctic, flying Twin Otters and DC-3s in off-strip ice field operations. By 1981 he had founded his first executive jet management and charter company. Since then he has been founder, co-founder or C-level executive in several aviation and airline ventures: CEO at Pacific Helicopters (Goroka, Papua New Guinea), Director of Saskatchewan Air Ambulance, EVP of Western Pacific Airlines (Calgary), Co-Founder & COO at Sky Bahamas Regional Airlines (Nassau), EVP at Triumph Airways (Toronto), EVP of Air Maldives / Air Maldivian International Airlines (Dubai), and President of Falkirk Aviation International Limited. Today he is President and Accountable Executive of Canadian World Cargo Inc., the oversight corporation for CaribWest Air Cargo Airlines — a cargo carrier specialising in perishable foods, pharmaceuticals and just-in-time prime products, operating alongside Caribbean seafood suppliers to develop a cool logistics and distribution hub serving global markets through an established CARICOM network in the Bahamas, Trinidad, Guyana, Suriname and Turks & Caicos. Lloyd holds Canadian and American Airline Transport Pilot Licences, Transport Canada Designated Check Pilot authority, and Singaporean, Malaysian and Philippine licences, with more than 16,860 hours of international oceanic flight experience and command, training and check-captain background on widebody equipment. He has lived and worked in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Dubai, Seoul, Jakarta, Mumbai, Mali, Atlanta, Nassau, Montréal, Ottawa, Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto, and is fluent in English and French.
Service background
Lloyd's service background began as Warrant Officer 1st Class, 690 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Cadets attached to 438 Squadron, St-Hubert, Québec, and continued as 1st Lieutenant with the Royal Canadian Hussars, Light Armoured Reconnaissance, 34th Canadian Armoured Brigade Group, Canadian Army. That discipline — command structure, contingency planning and operational risk management — runs through every Falkirk engagement, and is reinforced across a partner group with Royal Canadian Air Force and Canadian special service experience.
Academic & advisory
Lloyd holds a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Management from Athabasca University and is completing an Executive MBA (International Business and Business Strategy) in Fall 2026. He has published on airline start-up marketing and is completing a journal on the entrepreneurial skill sets required to build an airline. He contributes regularly to the Canadian Institute of Strategic Studies and the Transport Canada Policy Committee, advises MidasSur and the governments of Guyana and Suriname through Wetherholt Aviation Services LLC, sits on the ICAO UAV Project Committee, and leads development of "The ARC", a global mobile hospital programme for international first response and medical teaching.
